CITY BY THE BATTLEFIELD PREMIERES IN NORFOLK/DC/FREDERICKSBURG; NOW IN STORES WORLDWIDE



CITY BY THE BATTLEFIELD, the second in an ongoing series of collaborative DVD's between Magic Bullet and Fredericksburg Skateboards, documenting the skateboarders of Fredericksburg, Virginia, opened last weekend to enthusiastic audiences across Virginia and the District. Filmed over the course of late 2005 and 2006, this installment tracks many of the dynamic characters that make up a small town's skateboarding presence and features a healthy dose of progressive ideas from everyday skaters.

THIS WILL DESTROY YOU recently showcased new tracks from their upcoming self-titled full length album at this year's South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. The audience, comprised of music-lovers from all corners of the globe, were also treated to stirring renditions of "Quiet" and "The World Is Our ____" from their breakthrough "Young Mountain" CD/LP. A great night was had by all...

This Saturday, the band enters Pedernales, the private recording studio of Willie Nelson, to begin principle tracking for the aforementioned new record. With 7 songs in their sights and John Congleton (EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, THE PAPER CHASE) at the helm, we couldn't be more excited for the album that is to come. Look for "s/t" in stores this August.

In the meantime, you can hear the music of THIS WILL DESTROY YOU in an increasing number of television programs, films, and documentaries. Look for three songs in season 2 of Drive: Notes From The Wilderness (starring professioinal skater Mike Vallely), the surfing documentary "One California Day," and even a paintball DVD from the folks at Derder.

AUGHRA COMPLETES SPRING TOURING, FILMS SET FOR VICE, SPLIT CD WITH MOSH PATROL HERALDED BY PRESS



AUGHRA recently wrapped up a string of East Coast dates with Souvenir's Young America. The tour saw a diverse range of performances each night, as both acts would often collaborate and occasionally team up as an entirely different outfit known as Murderwork! After tour, the unity manifested into an appearance by Aughra on Souvenir's Young America's newly recorded album, out this July on Crucial Blast.

Vice was on hand at the New York City performance to film the live set and tape an interview with Brent Eyestone. Coverage is slated to air this April, only at vbs.tv

The press has been kind in their treatment of the AUGHRA & MOSH PATROL CD. XLR8R staff selected it to their top ten albums of February and Rock Sound Editor Darren Taylor named it to his top five of March, alongside Modest Mouse, The Arcade Fire, and Dinosaur Jr. If you haven't this exceptionally unique recording yet, do yourself a favor and check it out pronto.
